In the 1970 horror movie I DRINK YOUR BLOOD, an advertising poster for the El Rancho Drive In is clearly visable in the bakery that serves as one of the primary locations for the movie. In his commentary for the DVD release of the movie, director David Durston reveals that the movie was filmed in nearby Sharon Springs NY, and they used an actual bakery which was going out of business, and that the poster just happened to be on the wall, so they left it there. Ironically, one of the movies advertised on the poster was the original NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD. Durston reveals he had been hired by Cinemation Industries to make a movie “scarier that NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD”.
