THE ADDRESS WAS 625,I KNOW I LIVED AT 622 ACROSS THE STREET OVER WOOLWORTHS 5&10 STORE FROM 1937 UNTIL 1955

The Function of the ROXY was motion pictures and the seating was 1154 the Chain – Basil Theaters Inc.
The Roxy , by 1934, was owned by the Basil Theater chain, remodeled with larger and more comfortable seating (1154). I am John B Basil and i’ve managed theaters in London, England for Associated British Cinemas,in Buffalo with my familys firm of Basil Theaters and also Dipson. Charles….I also find a listing of 625 William St. for this theater. Savoy was the name it opened with. The website that Bryan posted has a current photo of the Savoy/Roxy theater. The building now houses a business called Connies Laundry and Dry Cleaning. In the photo, you can see an address on the building. The address appears to be “822-2800”. I’ll post a link to that photo. Maybe someone can read those numbers better than I can.

Lost Memory, I guess my records are a little old, I still show this as the Savoy Theatre, with the address being 625 William, Buffalo, NY 14206.
