The Grand Theatre in Fergus was built in 1928 as a venue for motion pictures, and strangely featured three large windows on each side of the auditorium. The windows were bricked up as part of general renovations in 1946.

During the 1960’s the building was used as a television store. In 1968, the theatre was restored and began to show live performances, beginning with the Elora Community Theatre and continuing to this day. The Grand Theatre has room for over 400 people.

The link that I posted back in 2007 is actually the website for this theater which is here. And the address given on their website is 244 St. Andrew Street West.

This is a photo of the Grand. Should the name be Fergus Grand or just Grand?
