Yes, your right “in Today’s motion picture world we would never Survive”.Seems like we did okay when I was working in one. For one thing in those days going to movies was still an event,it was fading somwwhat.but today it is like walking into a Bus Stop in Anytown,U.S.A.
In today’s motion picture world we would never survive on just a twin theatre.
If we could only go back to Twins.thanks guys for the great pictures.

This theatre opened as the State Theatre in 1935, seating listed at 610. It was originally owned by the State Theatre Co., later owned by the Rocoky Mountain Theatre Co. Closed as the State Theatre in 1964 and remodeled and re-opened as the Empire Theatre.
Header should have an AKA State Theatre.
Twinned in 1998.
There was a Park Theatre located at 178 S. Main St., does anyone have info on the Park Theatre?

That website needs some updating. The Empire must be open because Zvents shows current movies playing here.
Official web site posts showtimes that are out of date.
Here is another 2009 photo to replace the previous one.
