In that photo it says the Jewell was the former Jefferson Theatre. Thanks Seymour.

The Jefferson Theater became the Jewell Theater. It was torn down circa 1960. There is a historical marker in Jubilee Park showing where the theater stood at the corner of Jefferson Ave. and McDaniel St.
