Located in a shopping center on Gallatin Road and Old Hickory Hills the Old Hickory opened in 1994 by O'Neil Theatres. It was built inside what was once a supermarket. The Old Hickory had a short life span closing in 2000 when it was operated by Carmike Cinemas chain. It was operated as a discount house from opening until it closed. The theater has been torn down and replaced by retail.

The Old Hickory was torn down and recently replaced with a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Store.
