Hello, Charles. Mr Browwning told me that he took over the operation of the theatre in 1979 and twined it in 1986. Other members of his family also work at the theatre. They are all very friendly and enjoy talking to visitors.
You are correct on the address it should be 112 West Ave. Cedartown, Ga. 30125. It is my mistake. When did Mr Browning take over the operations of the theatre?
The address listed above is not correct. The West Theatre is located at 112 West Avenue, Cedartown, GA 30125. The exterior and the lobby of the West Theatre are as they looked in the 1940’s. The theatre has been twined and now shows two movies at a time. The owner, Ken Browning, has told me that the original single screen is still in place behind the newer twin screens. The balcony has been closed off.
