Cineworld (Empire) Leicester Square – Black Marble Tiled Wall Section Adjacent to Vestibule Stairs.

A close-up view of the black marble wall tiles which thankfully have been retained from the 1962 reconstruction.

Unfortunately, IMO the adjacent dark grey painted section doesn’t work as one makes the transition from the fantasy world of the cinema back to Leicester Square, particularly if it’s still daylight. As much as I dislike clutter, I think it would be a good place to put a poster. (I suppose LED display modules showing video would be distracting to staff.)

The 4DX “Safety Warnings and Guldelines” can be seen next to the 4DX entrance from foyer level.
