I bet at one time it might have been an ABC THEATRE or Plitt Theatre?

When the Grand opened seating was listed at 778. This theatre was operated by Wilby-Kincey Theatres for many years. From what I found it closed as a movie theatre in the late-1970’s.

The Paramount, Carolina, and Alamance were owned by North Carolina Theatres, Inc. per ad in the 1940 “Doe Wah Jack”, Burlington High School annual.

This 1940 ad touts the grand opening, which may have been a
re-opening if the theater opened in 1928:

I have seen two shows at this Venue. It has been lovingly restored and it is a very impressive job done on it. I liked it so well that my partner and I are presenting concerts there. Its just such a wonderful little place.
