After closing in 1933, Harris Amusement hired architect Edward B. Lee to revamp the theatre which re-opened on August 30, 1934 (see ad) and Kate Smith appeared in person. This “Lee” iteration lasted only from 1934 to 1940 after a roof collapse led to yet another version of the veteran theater.
