The Crown Theater opened in 1912 as the Ideal Theater. In 1927 it was renamed the Senate. In 1930 it became the Bluebird. In 1945 it had a new owner and a new name. It was now the Elmo Theater. In 1951 it was sold again and the new owner renamed it the Crown Theater. In 1954 the Crown Theater closed.
