A 1946 article in the Daily Herald newspaper describes this early Lombard theater, which stood on Parkside Avenue, as being “on its last legs” so it may have not been around for long after that time.

The only info that I could find on this theater was, seating is listed at 300 and a mention of the Parkside being part of the Columbia (Eastern) Burlesque Wheel Circuit.

This article mentions that the Parkside opened in 1916, so it wasn’t all that old in 1946, when the Daily Herald article I mentioned above said it was on its “last legs”.

The January 12, 1946, issue of Boxoffice ran an item headed “Will Raze Old Parkside Theatre in Lombard, Ill.” The property had been sold to clear back taxes and special assessments, and conditions of the sale included the demolition of the building. One line of the item said the Parkside had been built “…some 35 years ago.”
