Opened on 4th of May 1950 with “Love Happy”.

A Meijer now sits on the site, on Fort Street south of Eureka and north of Pennsylvania roads.

I was employed at the Fort George Drive-In from 1989-90. It stayed open through the entire 1990 season, as the storm damage didn’t occur until 1991. The owners decided against investing in any repairs and put the property up for sale instead. The structure wasn’t brought down until summer 1992. I believe it occurred in August.

By the way, as you can see from the photos on the page that Lost Memory posted, this started out as the Fort Drive-in. When Nicholas George bought it, he renamed it the Fort George.

Opened in 1950, damaged in 1990, torn down in 1991.
