Found an old newspaper 1993.CApri showing X rated “WOMEN IN PERIL” and “CAN YOUR DAUGHTER SIT TONIGHT”,Classy stuff….
I don’t believe this theatre ever held over 400 seats,100 at the most.
May 27 1977 John M.Lane,Manager of the Capri Cinema was Arrested by the Vice Squad for showing the X-rated “HER FAMILY JEWELS”.
He has some great art work.Maybe this is where we need to go to write,no one would care on this site if we were OFF TOPIC.
Yeah Mike I have seen Cliffs film pretty good for kids.
First rated X run, “JACK and JIll” plus “PUSS-N-BOOTS” rated X. first show starts at 1pm.

TLSLOEWS,I have read on CT where you have discussed theatres with Cliff Carson. I think it was about an Atlanta Theatre. You get a chance you outta look at his art work,plus he has a great liitle Super 8 movie about a movie theatre and two kids getting a ticket. It is on one of his Atlanta theatre sites.

Also, the Capri did not open in 1975. I saw LOVE STORY and THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE there in both ‘70 and '72
Cliff, I don’t have the equipment to do it,but if you pass my address on to him I will be glad to mail him pictures like I did for you. I wish CT could do it because i have so many pictures from my theatres here. I could get them to CT and they could do it. I saw your pictures.
Mike, there’s this guy named Tommy that spent his youth taking pictures of Georgia Drive In screens and marquees. He would really love it if you posted those Moonlit Drive In pictures on his Moonlit Drive In facebook page. If you go to it, you’ll see the ones I contributed.

Glad to do it,If I come across some SHARON TATE movie stuff,I will mail it out your way.I might have a still or something. I was surprized by the write up on the NORTH 85,the Atlanta paper might have wrote one on EXPRESSWAY.
I sent you a message, didn’t you get it? Yes they arrived and I love the pictures, I really do. A bit hard to look at some of them. It’s heartbreaking. Especially the one of the Drive In landscape with nothing but the freeway in the distance. That was a really sad picture. I’m really glad to have these. At least it gives me an idea of what it once was. Of what I remember. They didn’t waste anytime tearing the screen tower down. I wonder if anyone else was upset about it?

THey certainly don’t need to remake HOUSE. I never did see Night of Dark Shadows.Something about a ghost? Hope the EXPRESSWAY stuff got out there,
They’re holding out HOUSE and NIGHT of Dark Shadows for some reason? With the success of Twilight you would think they’d be interested in getting it out there. Perhaps they’re waiting for the Johnny Depp version to be made so it can generate interest in the original.
As for FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS, I absolutely LOVE Sharon Tate. I’m always looking for stuff on her.
I had a chance to spend some time up at the Cielo Drive house where she was killed before it was torn down.
They’re holding out HOUSE and NIGHT of Dark Shadows for some reason? With the success of Twilight you would think they’d be interested in getting it out there. Perhaps they’re waiting for the Johnny Depp version to be made so it can generate interest in the original.
