Tomorrows movie Nightmare on Elm Street and next thursdays movie The Lost Boys have both been inspected and the prints are in excellent condition.
The print of Grease Sing-a-Long has been inspected and ready for showing on May 16. It is in pristine condition.
This Saturday at 730, Do The Right Thing on 35MM film. Print is a Universal vault print in beautiful condition.
THe Jan 6 print, as mentioned above, is brand new never run print.
Just finished tomorrows movie “Muppets Christmas Carol.” Print is in decent condition. Very surprised for a 30 year print. I also inspected Januarys movie “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.” A brand New never used print.
Just finished inspecting the print of “The Freshman”. Its a mint condition print. Dont forget it will be accompany by live organ. 3 pm Sunday.
Dont forget everyone, this Sunday Oct 30 at 3 pm is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. See it on 35MM pristine archive print from Warner Bros.
The prints of “Strangers on a Train”, and “North by Northwest” are inspected and in pristine condition. Shows on July 22 and 23.
8 PM tonight, 35mm directed by the late Peter Bogdanovich “The Last Picture Show” (1971) $8 includes free popcorn with pipe organ at 7:30 PM by Eric Fahner before the movie.
Mark the Projectionist here folks. This Sunday starting at 1 pm, we have 2 pristine prints of Sidney Poitier movies. At 1 pm “To Sir With Love”, and at 3:30 “In the Heat of the Night”, with organ playing between shows. Not to be missed. These prints are in tip top shape.
I’m told by Mark the projectionist that “It’s A Wonderful Life” print is a pristine 35mm print, from the Library of Congress, looking glorious! It will be screened tomorrow at 2 PM and 7 PM.
Caddyshack print is inspected and is in very good condition. Oh and a side note, the kung fu double feature is cancelled.
Upcoming 35MM events: March 19, Caddyshack. April 3rd, old school Kung Fu double feature, (theatre rental, not part of the monthly classic series), and April 30, Wizard of Oz.
Nice crowd last night. Picture was blazing off the screen. Sound kicked butt. A very enjoyable night was had by all.
Seats were being sanitized as I left today to get ready for tomw show.
I understand The Shining print is from WB Archives and like new condition! Mono sound like I think the original sound was when the movie was released. Tomorrow eve, see my post above on Jan 21.
a quick glimpse online does indicate 150 max due to ongoing restrictions. I’ll say that will NOT be a problem because quite a few people are avoiding all movies out of fear. This is an enormous theater so everybody can be distanced quite a bit apart, so hopefully should feel “safe.”
Yes the Spaceballs print, considering the age is in mint condition. Barely any wear. Im not sure on how many people will be allowed to attend given the ongoing restrictions. If im correct I think 150 is the max. Best to check with the theatre before heading out.
35mm movie schedule: all Fridays 8 PM Jan 22, Spaceballs, Feb 26 at 8 PM, The Shining, March 19 at 8 PM Caddyshack, April 30 at 7:30 PM Wizard of Oz, July 9 at 8 PM Jaws. $5, organ concert included. I understand the Spaceballs print is great, like new!
Movies are tentatively scheduled to return on Nov 20. Maximum 150 people. First 35MM to show is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Please check theatre website for updates, as this is subject to change.

Huge crowd enjoyed Jurassic Park last night. Upcoming 35mm films at are Caddyshack (with a 35mm Three Stooges cartoon, Brideless Goon) at 8 PM Friday March 27 and the Wizard of Oz (with a Betty Boop short)at 7 PM Sat April 11. Both with organ played before movie & free popcorn, total price only $5.
