The Majestic Theater is still standing today but is being used as a clothing store at this time.

It still has the old box office in front of this classic movie house. I would be nice to see someone restore the Majestic in Downtown Dundas.

The Metro Theater should be fixed up on the inside and the outside or it should just be blown up and put to rest. Just look at the photo on the right Its falling apart. It dose not look very safe to see a show at all. ~R.I.P.~ This is not a Cinema Treasure at all.

The Bloor Cinema has been a Toronto landmark for over 60 years. Recently refurbished, this vintage movie house is one of the best places in the city of Toronto to see rare and hard to find movie classics, foreign and domestic, as well as premiere presentations of new films from around the world.

The Bloor Cinema also welcomes new filmmakers to exhibit their talents, and has been the venue of choice for several independent festivals and student film screenings.

So when your in the city of Toronto come to the Bloor Cinema.

I was only at the 7 & 27 Drive-In two times, so I dont remember to much about this Drive-In, but your right it did have a huge horseshoe shaped snack bar and it was located pretty close to the 400 Drive-In.

I just found out some history about the “Roxy Theater” in Burlington & I know that It was located in The Downtown area & It open in 1949 & closed in 1960, not in 1980, that was the “Odeon Theatre”. But I could not find any more info on what street it was located on & I can’t find any photos of the “Roxy” in Burlington.

If anyone can help me with this problem, then please E-mail me @ – Thank you.

ChadIrish commented about Lyric Theatre on Apr 8, 2002 at 5:24 pm

Its a really sad day when an old movie theatre like the Lyric in downtown Kitchener closes for good, just because they want to make room for a new parking lot.

Kitchener is also home of the “OCTOBER FEST” where all weekend long all they do is drink beers from around the world and party all night long. Kitchener residents should be a shame of themselves. There in only one theatre left in downtown Kitchener, and it a small 4 screen multiplex owned by Famous Players.
