No, John D., I did not. I viewed the theatre from the south side of Myrtle Avenue. I did not cross Myrtle Avenue to look through the gates and one open door into the outer lobby.
I am beginning to wonder if anything (at all) will now be done with the Ridgewood Theatre.
I walked by the Ridgewood Theatre at about 11:30 a.m. this morning (Friday September 18 2009). I observed no changes since my last visit on Friday August 14 2009.
That is beautiful, Warren. Thanks. I think I have seen it, but it’s always good to see it again. It’s a good, positive companion piece to the 1980’s images of abandonment and decay.
I walked by the Ridgewood Theatre this morning, Friday August 14 2009, between 11:30 a.m. and 12 noon. There were some signs of activity within. The screen in front was down, but one door each to the outer and inner lobbies were open. I could see tools and ladders within. The names of films were still posted above the entrances to what had been the two ground floor cinemas :
1 THE P ARTANS
2 VANTAGE POINT
There was no phone number posted anywhere on the marquee.
ziggy, perhaps you can get into private e-mail contact with Warren through info on CT, or perhaps Warren now has his own personal blog that you can sign into to experience his vindictive abuse.
I’m so glad to read that, LM. He got exactly what he deserved.
I once asked Warren point-blank what inside dirt he had on, or what power he had over, the management here on CT, that allowed him to get away with what he did here.
“As for Warren, his treasure trove of valuable information if you wish to call it that, was exceeded by his treasure trove of verbal abuse, personal attacks and overall nasty attitude.”
My sentiments, exactly, LM. Thanks for expressing it so well.

I will pass by the Ridgewood Theatre tomorrow morning and will post my monthly report here tomorrow afternoon.
Thanks, Bway, it would be interesting to see some photos, just the same, to have a comparison such as you did for the RKO Madison Theatre.
It would be interesting to see what the interior of the building looks like now, as the School For Social Justice.

Thanks, Warren. It’s great to be able to see the additional detail. It’s simultaneously sad, majestic, and decrepit.
My dad remembers the RKO Bushwick Theatre as having two balconies. Is this correct ?
Thanks for the heads-up, Mike !
Thanks, Warren. Something has changed on my pc so that I can now view your Photobucket images.
It looks like a b & w still from inside the RKO Bushwick Theatre from the 1987 film “The Believers”.
Thanks, DABOC24.
Thanks for the heads-up, John D. Michael Perlman (NativeForesrHiller) is probably right on top of it.
Yes.
I will have nothing more to report until I return to Ridgewood next month (September 2009).
You’re welcome, LM. My pleasure. Hopefully they will be.

Warmest Regards and Thanks to YOU, Ross Melnick, and to Patrick Crowley, for being here, doing your job, and addressing the issue at hand.
Have a good trip overseas, Ross. Your response was not at all brief, but in-depth and to the point.
Do you mean on this Ridgewood Theatre page or this site ?
On CT, there are “Anniegirl” and “MVitale”, that I know of.
Yes, ziggy, Warren indeed bugged me, but it was also a justice issue. Why should CT'ers be subject to Warren’s abusive posting ?
Also, Warren had taken it upon himself to do CT’s management’s job for them.
Ross Melnick, and Patrick Crowley, please correct me if I’m wrong.

I apologize for unthinkingly echoing the notion that Warren was removed from CT.
I agree that Warren himself should post one last post about his resignation from CT.
The bickering in the above dozen or so posts is almost as bad as Warren himself still being on CT.
Ironic : Warren is gone, yet here we are still arguing about him.

Really, LM ? Warren was removed from this website by the management ? Patrick Crowley and his partner ?
John, I hope so too. I’ll be back there in a few weeks.
No, I don’t know anything about Warren’s strange silence. Frankly, I’ve been enjoying it too much to have wanted to probe into the reason for it.
