I found another theatre for this town of Blakely Ken McIntyre. The Blakely theatre was built in 1930s. Being restored for live performances. Want to be a team on this? You could add the Blakely theatre with both our names.
That is the very same website I found the Canton theatres. I already posted those names on the Palace theatre listing. I wanted to add the nickelodeon but not sure if the name was 5-cent theatre. Do you have any idea of the real name?
Hello Patsy I enjoy finding theatres missing from this website. At times I can only find a theatre name. I put whatever I find in a comment. Perhaps the more advanced people like yourself on Cinema Treasures can contribute more details about these theatres.
Sure thing. Take them all if you like. Any person that wants too can add these theatres. I will find more and bring them back here. Perhaps Patsy would enjoy adding a theatre.
These theatre names were on a Canton website. Loew’s, Valentine, Dueber, Ohio, Alhambra and Strand. Could someone help confirm these theatres. I could add them if I knew there address.
Was this theatre open when you photographed it Don Lewis. Some of the most common names I found for movie theatres were Bijou, Rialto, Tivoli, Adelphi, and Odeon. Bijou means jewel in French.
The green photo looks much like the night photo of Iraq being bombed. When compared to the 2005 photo you could see similar characteristics. It is the same building.
Something smells fishy here. Even at the lower price of $2,000.00 that is very low for a movie theatre building. The website says the taxes are $136.00. That is also very low. Perhaps the building is falling apart. It costs more to have a garage added to your house today then to buy this theatre. Buyer beware.
Reading through these old messages I found another cranky fella with no name. Was this other crankcase expelled? I am referring to this message.
More jibberish nonsense. The three of you carry on as buffoons. I see no factual statements being made only conjecture and speculation. Use your time more wisely to find factual theatre data that will benefit everyone. Childish gossip runs amok here.

Silvio wanted to share with us. Perhaps Silvio isn’t aware of the Shore Theatre. You should not attack people because they want to share with others. That is mean spirited and rude.
That is a Cool photo KenRoe. I get to see what my theatre looks like at last. I would look for more theatres to add if it wasn’t such a hassle getting them to appear.
It does get somewhat boring I guess. We aren’t allowed to tell stories or have fun. The cranky fella will get on your case if you attempt it. The plaster story was okay. It was educational even though it contained more then I ever wanted to know about plaster. People should be able to reflect on their old neighborhood even if the topic strays off of the movie theatre itself. Perhaps you have a nice story that you would care to share with us ElTrain.

More Whit Bissell trivia coming at ya PKoch. Whit Bissell played Tom the scientist in Target Earth.

There was a nickelodeon included with the other theatres. I removed it from the list as I was unsure if those type of theatres are acceptable.
Whit Bissell was in The Manchurian Candidate. He is not in the credits. His character was a Medical Officer. I am at a loss as to Jay Overholts.

Very cool link.

Were there live chickens in this building? Perhaps you meant a restaurant like Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Melvin the toxic avenger. Based in New Jersey for some odd reason. haha

Yes. Whit Bissell was also the undertaker in the Magnificent Seven. A funny line was ‘he see’s everyone as just another future customer’.

haha That’s funny. But the photos are cool aren’t they?
Cool photos KenRoe. You should open a gallery. You are very talented.
Whit Bissell was the mad scientist in the movie I Was a Teenage Werewolf with Michael Landon.
Thanx Silvio. Which train could take you from mid town Manhattan to Coney Island? I would like to visit there and get a glimpse of the parachute jump.

Thanx for fixing the link. I have never been to Coney Island. Is it still open for business?
That is so funny PKoch. If a crank gets on your case; he is a crank case. I will make a note of that for future use. haha
