Wow what a great Art Deco blade sign. Must have been a stylish theatre in it’s day. Yes a tragedy that a parking lot is the afterlife of these larger than life buildings/treasures.
Wish there were interior pictures of this great historic theatre. I just remember the elaborate exterior smoldering for years. Also of the interiors of the Winter Garden, Embassy, Colonial, Roosevelt, Alhambra and Blue Mouse in Seattle.
A loss to Seattle was the destruction of this attractive old theatre in a great area. Could have lived on for years as a stage venue. Just add a stage and take off the bad front fake walls. An eyesore for years.
Have attended many good films here and it remains one of the best theatres in Seattle area. Well maintained and now 3D and digital. Curved screens in all 6 auditoriums and great sound. Clean and updated everywhere. For an older building it has a neon decorated lobby and great location.

I like the old signage so much better than the replacement. Great pic.
Classic and dramatic look. Stone figures are beautiful. Should be turned back into a theatre of some kind.
Photo is very artistic and evocative. Lights look like crystal. Blade signs are strange.
Great signage. Check out the remake of the House of Wax. Art Deco theatre playing the same film. Made of wax. This is the most interesting pic.
Wow Art Deco masterpiece. Doors are beautiful and signage.

Wonderful photo. Truck looks like a toy truck. Signs are very intereating.
One of the nicest designs in the nation. Clean and elegant look. Classy.
The dome ceiling is amazing and lighting is quite remarkable.
What a tall ceiling and elegant curtain. Well designed balconies. Huge and lovely interior.
What an elegant theatre. Outside looks plain. To bad they tore it apart as usual.
Art Deco to the max and must have been beautiful.

What a beautiful entrance. Elegant windows and building trim. A lost art by today’s standards.
What a handsome theatre. Hope it comes back stronger than ever.
One of the best designed lobby open spaces anywhere. Very post post art-deco. Great neon.

Wonderful post card photo. Magical. Palm trees make the place.
Wonderful art deco facade. Should be restored as a first run house again. Upscale area of Seattle could support it.
Great theatre still but I wish they would restore the original signage. I have seen many a film here over the years. Still attend often.
Wonderful art deco inspired interior. The best use for an old remodel.
Great new art deco inspired designs on this old theatre. Must be fun to see films here again.
Great signage.
