The Cinema and Pix theatre were bought out by the same company in the early seventies.Both their ads in the paper were the same and together.Probably one of those Carolina theatre chains bought them.

Robin,read in the Chroncile today that Ed Copeland passed away.He was a Projectionist.I guess for Georgia Theatres.I never had him in the booths at any of my Augusta theatres.He was 80.[Nov.15 2010}

Just a footnote: They sold ALOT of tickets that night protesting.Which was their right to do.We did preview it before release date to Priests,rabbis and ministers.

Chuck in 1956 I have it parking 500 cars and was owned by Earl N.Bell.
My 1956 Motion Picture Almanac has it parking 1700 cars quite a jump and was owned by E.Bell.
