My guess is the cost to repair it is so high that they keep kicking the can down the road.
If there is an alternate route that satisfies ADA requirements,
it may be a long time unless the city leans on them.
Per Jim Layland:
“Car 137 was built by the St. Louis Car Co. for Albert Johnson’s Lehigh Valley Traction Co. circa 1900. It was part of a large order by LVT for cars for the planned Philadelphia and New York City interurban.”

However “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” was released December 23, 1954.
So likely just promotional use of the term since it had already opened that August.

“Neumeyer Theater, 453 Northampton St., Easton, PA opened on March 8, 1910, with 700 seats. It offered orchestra, balcony, and box seats. The first-floor stores included Wolslayer’s shoe store and Chubby’s Cafe.”

“The Majestic Theatre at 533 Front St; SE Corner of Front and Pine, Catasauqua, PA.
William H. Wentz built the theatre in 1909.
When Wentz sold the theater in 1933 to William G. Humphries, its name was changed to the Savoy.
The theater closed in 1962 and was demolished.”
