comfortably cool, did you actually see this movie-just asking.I think my grandfather was still active on Broadway in 1931,but the depression was beginning to take it’s tole.
comfortably cool thanks for posting this, too bad your generation can’t appreciate this pop culture classic.Mike Myres saluted it in"Austin Powers International Man of Mystery".Millions of James Coburn and Derek Flint fans enjoyed it.This movie marked the end of the secret agent movie popularity of the 60’s.Movies like Bonnie and Clyde,Easy Rider, and In Cold Blood would be the new trend of reality and violence.James Coburn’s star would continue to rise and win the Best Supporting Actor for The Affliction.
As publicity stunt at the premier of Thunderball on December 21st 1965,the Bell-Textron Jet-Pack flew off the Paramount theater marquee. The pilot and some of United Artist publicity staff were arrested for not having a permit for performing the stunt.
THIS WAS THE SECOND HAMMER STUDIO HORROR MOVIE OF THE SUCCESSFUL TREND.THE FIRST WAS"THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN", BOTH WITH CHRISTOPHER LEE AND PETER CUSHING . ALSO THIS WOULD BE THE LAST HAMMER STUDIO DRACULA MOVIE UNTIL 1966’s" DRACULA THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS", WITH THE RETURN OF CHRISTOPHER LEE.
I LOVE THIS ,THE FIRST JAMES BOND MOVIE.THIS MOVIE DID NOT GET THE BIG PREMIER THAT THE LATER ONES GOT. I SAW IT AS A DOUBLE FEATURE IN 1965 WITH FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE,MY FIRST TASTE OF 007!
THIS MOVIE WAS IN STEP WITH THE TIMES,DEBBIE REYNOLDS WAS DOING A LOT OF THEM LIKE THIS; EVEN JANE FONDA.IT WAS CO- PRODUCED BY MARTIN MELCHER, IN THE END IF YOU DIDN’T LIKE DORIS DAY, YOU DIDN’T LIKE THIS MOVIE. NORMAN JEWISON DID A GOOD JOB FOR THIS MATERIAL,A GREAT DIRECTOR;WITH CREDITS LIKE THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR,IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT,AND A SOLDER’S STORY TO NAME A FEW.
You can see the way the concession stand looked. On the second floor through the glass you can see the chandeliers I mentioned on the photo page. THIS IS THE BEST! And it mentions all the specs.
