Thanks for the photos Life,s too short.I remember when they tore up Church street and installed brick pavers in the street as in the 1st. photo. They have now tore that out and put Church Street back like it was before,Thats Nashville Government in action for you.
Mike and Robin our “Candy Girls” did not work for LOEWS they worked for ARA services and later Ogden food services LOEWS contracted out the conncessions to another company for some reason, althoght the drink and popcorn cups said LOEWS on them. Some of the girls would also work as cashiers and would be paid by LOEWS.Some would get paid 2 times a week one from LOEWS and their concessions hours were paid by the other company.
You must of had a marquee like our LOEWS MADISON had one on the theatre itself and another 2-sided one at the front of the shopping center near Gallatin Road. The thetare was behind the Madison Square shopping center and could not be seen from the main road.Luckly I never had to change the marquee therebecause I was in Managemant before I ever worked this house. The LOEWS MELROSE had 4-sigh boards to change with heavy metal letters.Have fun at the reunion.
Would love to see this museum.
