An architectural masterpiece. A monument for New York. Of course this sort of thing is not considered important in modern times in North America. Empty lots are important though. And throw away ugly multiplexes.
Too bad when classic old theatres are multi-plexed. Much better to save the original auditorium and just build 4 more new ones. Of course that breaks the budget.
Top pic may be of the Seattle Cinerama. It was built in the 60’s and has been remodeled a few times and is now one of the most high-tech theatres on Earth. Still has the original sized screen I believe. Was just revamped as a theatre again recently. Even better sound. Now has stars in the ceiling. They also use the curtain I think.I once saw Blade Runner here and it was in a Cinerama style lense process. Wrap around screen. Also saw 2001 here in the first showing of this film. Quite an experience.
The UA 150 theatre in Seattle that was built in the 60’s had a very large curved screen. Sadly this great place was torn down a few years ago. Star Wars premiered there for Seattle and placed for months. D150 was almost as wonderful as Cinerama in my opinion. Wish it still existed.
Very plain but interesting old place. Beautiful little town. Saw a thriller there about 10 years ago. Mono sound system if I remember. Too bad it is closed as the area needs a theatre close by.
A rich and lovely painting in Hopper’s lonely and silent impressionistic feeling.
Art modern beauty. Graceful and rich style.

Nice box office anyway. Funky entrance. Like the Last Picture Show.
Very gothic details and tall auditorium. Proscenium is handsome and ceiling details. Unique qualities to interior.
Still lots of great details and proscenium left. Will be nice.
Should be elegant and whole soon I hope. The proscenium is beautiful.
Beautiful art deco building. Historic features on marquee too. Great pic.
Handsome and dramatic marquee for sure. Art deco native american styles.
Very dramatic entrance for an old theatre on not the best street in town. Must have been better years ago.
Elegant and faithful restoration. Better than ever theatre. Wonderful lighting too.
Great box office design. Original? The interior looks very generic.

Beautiful building. A waste to demolish it. Any interior images?
What an elegant entrance design for the Majestic. Any interior pics?
What a waste to tear down this dramatic building.

The most elegant theatre! Side balcony and lovely proscenium arch. Wondeful details. Exterior details are great too.
Window is exciting design and marquee too. Great art deco building.

Nice marquee and architectural trim. Vintage.
Such a funky and unique decor. Perfect for Montana and the raw hunting charactor of the area. Beautiful place and theatre.
Interesting wall lighting. Art deco and elegant.
Elegant and lovely old building. Signage and marquee are beautiful. A loss to the area that it is gone.
