Two Georgia theatre locations with three screens,Daniel Village Twin and Southgate are now dollar theatres. Playing at Southgate the perfect movie for that location,“BREAKIN'2” rated R. Feb.27 1985.
No I never got paid extra to change a marquee at ABC-Plitt,at General Cinema our janitors did it.I loved doing the marquee at National Hills,it was huge as you have seen from Robin’s pictures.Columbia 1 and 2 even had a decent marquee,Hell I would have done for free I loved it so much.
Andrew Jackson, And me a history major,for the life of me i couldn’t remember President Jackson.No Old Hickory listed.I went down the list of Drive-ins,almost two pages in the book and didn’t even spot an Old Hickory Drive-in.Sorry,Tls.
Well, Tlsloews it is not in the book so it either wasn’t built yet or had already closed.You might have to get some old newspaper ads from the Nashville paper.You had Bel-air.

Well, Cactus Jack there was a Rialto and Rivoli Theatres in Chickasha in 1956 owned bt Video Independent Theatres out of Oklahoma City. Can’t find a Heritage Park Cinema,Newer Theatre?
Anthony,Here is alittle more on the Drive-in you put on, The Canyon Drive-in parked 325 cars and was owned way back in 1956 by Glen theatres.Charles R. Gilmour president.

Feb 27 1985 and at Daniel Village Twin they are playing “STARMAN” and “TOMBOY” They are charging a dollar a seat.
Feb 27 1985 sees “HEAVEN HELP US ” playing Rated R.

El Reno had a Drive-in, the El Reno Drive-in.owned by Walter Shuttee wonder if he owned the ROYAL THEATRE,Budgie.

Couldn’t find anything in my 1956 motion picture Almanac,either had closed or was not built yet.

Too many screens even in Southern California.

Cushing also had the American Theatre and Dunkin Theatre,plus a Drive-in also, Jeff.
Just let me know any theatre in Question and I will do my best with the Almanac to find them.
