This is the FIRST ad I’ve ever found of Rossellini’s Viaggio in Italia/Journey to Italy/Strangers playing in a New York area theatre during its initial availability…the bottom of a double bill in the Bronx. It was never reviewed during this period by The New York Times.
This was a popular Italian film in the US in various cities but disappeared during the war years when Italian movies were sequestered by the U.S. Government.
