Bivouac, wasn’t it great being a kid in those days.catch a sci-fi movie then get a FAMOUS MONSTERS magazine for 50 cents. Can’t do that any more.Great Post.
Nick had been telling me we probably had Silent movie houses way before the Imperial was built. He was right.I bet Bill has never heard of those old classic movie theatres.
Nashville had a bunch of Crescent theatres; Belle Meade,Belmont,Bordeaux Drive-in,Capitol,CrescentDrive-in,Donelson,Elite,5th Ave,green Hills, inglewood,Knickerbocker,Melrose,Old Hickory,Paramount,Princess,Roxy,State,Woodbine,Woodland,Skyway Drive -in and the classy Tennessee. You are welcome.
Robin, It is good to hear from you.Tlsloews was wondering what happened to you,We haven’t heard from Nick either.I figured you still had A.C. problems.Yes,Bill is heart broken,Lots of movie stills etc. I guess someone must have stole them to put on E-bay?He has been broken into a couple of times,Guess,Bath,S.C. is even getting bad.I will let him know if what you gave him was gone.He does want us to get together for a lunch or dinner one night. He was dispointed like I was with the non-response we got for a theatre get together.
Oh it is a very bad part of town,I really look out of place there, and I am afraid a cop will pull be over thinking I am looking for drugs, even though i would be innocent.
I don’t even know where Nick is I sent him a letter.he would be your best bet.I posted a article at National Hills and hope Robin sees it,She must be having problems with her A.C. at home.I guees i could call her and tell her gang is worried.
Play that Epic so many of you like “THE SOUND OF MUSIC” 300 old ladies on a matinee and at least during the running of the movie more than one would come out complaining about it being TOO COLD.I just went down and looked like i made an Adjustment.I don’t think so many of you would love this movie if you EVER HAD TO WORK IT!!!!
A Union Manager Projectionist.I always thought Management and Unions were seperate,At least at the Theatres I worked at.Find something new everyday on CT.
We played “EARTHQUAKE” and “MIDWAY” in Sensurround in The Imperial Theatre in Augusta and no damage was done to that theatre built back in early 1900’s..Don’t believe it closed a theatre,if it did it was shoddy work done building it.

Oh,Robin since you have been gone I have added four Silent movie theatres from Augusta on CT,under newest theatres.
Okay,we need to get Nick,NEXT.I have noticed a lot of Atlanta Theatres in the Newest theatres selection, might want to check them out.
Okay,I will try and make it.It must have been a nightmare with your house, maybe a National Hills mini get together will help.
Just read Robin’s post at NationalHills.

1982 photo. almost misses the theatre, needed to be centered. When i take a picture I try and get the subject.
Ken Roe,Noticed what looked like ratings “Commando” had like 18 or something, did not have R rating. I notice PG on the other movie.
