I believe Lyric is an older name for Braintree because in the 1938 FDY the seating capacity for the Lyric in 665. The next FDY I have is 1944 and the Lyric disappears while the Braintree appears also with a capacity of 665.

On August 4, 1949 the Blair Press published an article about the Century changing its name to the State as of September 1, 1949.

The large two-story windows on the Broad Street side of the building also seem to indicate a theatre space was there.

Are you sure this one is demolished? The building that houses GEM Printing at 307 State Street sure looks like it is over 100 years old. If you look at the roof on Bing Maps birds eye view you can see the roof peaks in the middle which seems to indicate the theatre was on the top floor of this building.

The Amery Theatre closed down, but is being renovated by new owners in hopes that they can reopen it as the Amery Classic Theatre.

Not sure this is demolished. Google Maps and Bing Maps both show it still standing at 111 College Ave, unless it has very recently been demolished.

Will: According to the website of the Palace Theatre their building was originally opened as the Little Princess Theatre in the late 1800’s.

This Palace opened in 2007. It is different than the old Palace which, although also on West Market Street, was demolished in 1986.

Correct address is 203 Vine St.
