This was once a revival theater. My stepmother and my Dad and I saw a double bill of BARBARELLA and FLESH GORDON. That was a wonderful night. I loved it.

By the way, when was this place built and when was it converted to 5 screens?

Like the nearby Manor, they play a lot of “indie” films that you can’t see elsewhere in the Pittsburgh area.

This theater only has 5 screens not 6,at one time it was 1 screen.I remember in the 1980’s it had 3 screens,one notoriously under a bowling alley.I just saw “Borat' there and you can here the bowling balls klunking on the ceiling.In my opinion this theater also has one of the strangest layouts.

The 1950 edition of Film Daily Yearbook gives a seating capacity of 841.
