Deb…sorry I gave you a short answer, but I didn’t have time to give a long one. Plus a couple other “preservationist” on this site have seem to lost control and are just randomly posting anything and everything…So I will “POST AROUND THEM” and try to give an answer to your question, which was a good one BTW.
Seriously, I can’t answer it…I have not given it that much thought. The last plan called for restoration with the sale of the south lot…I was thinking along those lines. You guys are sticking with RSC, so any real thought I put into an answer will get bashed by your group anyway, as history has proved. Sorry if this does not fully answer your question(s).
As for everybody else, it appears that certain people are posting under the influence…ignore them!

True Class (nice name, where have I seen that before?) you said you two e-mailed into the wee hours, why didn’t you use a phone? Would it not have been easier than banging away at a computer? Even if there were people in 5 states, how many also have Defino conected to them? Now you are trying to say to “move on to the restoration topic” why’t that, because yoyu were outsmarted and exposed? Again, if “Jayme” is so against the theatre, why has she not spoken up at a Board meeting? I’ll move on to resto, sure, as long as that’s what’s talked about. NOT claims of harassment, vandalism, etc, that some of you have posted…

I think you need to move on to the restoration topic. The people on this site don’t deserve this. Look at the posts above. We are not representing Lombard very well.
In fairness, I did your google search and over 500 hundred responses came up. There are people in 5 different states with that same name.
Please let these people have their website back.

I put in the name of an ALLEGED “18 year old girl” I ALLEGEDLY sent harassing e-mails to and look what I found…Apparently, she must be some sort of prodigy (you wouldn’t know it from her language) since she GRADUATED FROM PURDUE UNIVERSITY IN 1999! Look at all the other threads on here, they don’t tear up some one not putting I before E!! Then they turn an 18 year old loose, and suddenly they make people trying to defend themselves to be the bad guy. Well, let’s discuss it. For $10 million, what do you get? Are you just tossing out that number as the cost of restoration per the RSC plan or does the number represent something else?
I can’t answer that. Let them cross that bridge if it ever comes.
But if someone gave the Village a $10 million check, would the village still have to own it? Or is that part of the controversy as well?

That is exactly what I did..threw that number ($10 million) out there. I know that right now it stands at $8.5 million, but with every passing month cost will increase. Even you can agree with that.
Did not mean to antagonize. Although a $10 million check would solve a lot of problems :)
