Yes,What was I thinking, The Miller Theatre here looks pretty small from the front, but it to fills up 1300 seats or so. Hope you can get Robin to do more for you. I sent a bunch of stuff to NIck, But as we know,Nothing.
Yes, I saw the Pictures and made a comment. Guess I pissed Robin off for missing that NATIONAL HILLS THEATRE REUNION PARTY. She hasn’t answered any of my posts on NATIONAL HILLS, COLUMBIA SQUARE,or the IMPERIAL.
I wrote somewhere to you that I had even tried calling a couple of times. Left a message, not reply. I do know Charlie Noble an old Projectionist,Nick introduced me to,and while he doesnt’t get on the computer I can drop him a line and will. I have known Nick since the mid 90’s.Met a Western Film Convention.
Need some explaination on this one.when ABC sold out to PLitt Theatres all our ABC logos came off the building and uniforms.Doorman, usher and Assistant Managers got that ugly looking PLITT THEATRES logo to wear. There went all the girls in the nightclubs.
It looks so much like a small town theatre from the front. You expect big theatres in large cities. Thanks for pictures TLSLOEWS and Robin of course you are a blessing.
Thanks drewc. and for the pictures.
Yeah, she is a school teacher, doesn’t need headaches from us.

Same Drive-in? There was a Fran-LIN DRIVE-In in Mulberry,Fla. in the late 50’s.Wonder if it is a name change?
Well, the CINDERELLA/ KING DRIVE-In parked 900 cars and was owned by Virble post. This in the late 50’s,guys.
Has to be one the worst looking twin theatres in this country. It had to be a mom and pop operation.
No MADISON DRIVE-IN in 1956.either.
“THE COWBOYS” in 70 mm. Never heard of that before, must have been a great look.
yes it parked 810 cars and in 1956 it was owned by C.H.Kurtz.
this rather small Drive-in parked 150 cars in 1956 and was owned by E.E.Hopkins.
Yes it opened has the HI PARK DRIVE-In and parked 550 cars and was owned in 1956 by C.H.Weaver.
Timeline from 1957 to 1967 must be right by 1956 Motion Picture Almanac has no such Drive-in listed,

In my 1956 motion picture almanac it has the drive-in listed but no capacity or owner listed one of the few i have come across like that.
This Drive-in parked 1,500 cars and was owned by the Berman brothers.
