September 2, 1961, Saturday
The property at the northeast corner of East Burnside and Walton Avenues, the Bronx, which contains Loew’s Burnside Theatre and five stores, has been sold by the theatre chain. Title has been taken by the buyer in the name of the Burnside Realty Company, representing Joseph S. Rosenblum, a realty investor and builder, and Fechter, Schneider and Spector.

The LA Times reported in September 1933 that the United Artists had been sold for $85,000 cash to Albert Jones, a San Diego theater owner and investor. The seller was Mrs. Nora M. Brown.

Announcement is made here of the sale of the Montrose Theater to B.G. Meyers, formerly of St Cloud, Minn. Meyers is the son of M.P. Meyers, pioneer property owner in the Montrose area.
The theater that burned may have been the Glade. An article in the LA Times dated 9/7/30 discussed the sale of the Glade to the Wobber Brothers of San Francisco, who had been renting the theater for some time.
