Not gone, exactly. The Balboa and Congress are still with us, just not theaters anymore.
Carmike no longer has this theater on its website.

I think it was the Mike Rivest site, but it was a couple of years ago.
The Stanley was part of the Glasscock Theater chain in the early 1960s, headquartered in San Antonio.
That may have not been entirely accurate. The 1963 IMPA shows the Plaza as still operating under the aegis of Glasscock Theaters.
