If the theater took up the whole block, I suppose what I photographed last year was half of the building. Mabe it should be closed/partially demolished.
Here is an undated interior photo from the LAPL. I have not been inside this theater yet, so one of these Sundays I will have to get religion and give it a try. http://jpg2.lapl.org/theater3/00015618.jpg
I tried to access the Chamber of Commerce website to see how the renovation panned out, but the Chamber’s site is defunct. Not good PR for the city of Bishopsville.
This is from the Chariton Chamber of Commerce site in April:
CONGRATULATIONS! To Dave and Connie Hendricks and the Connecticut Yankee Pedaller, on their recent building remodeling project. The Chamber Ambassadors helped the store celebrate with a ribbon cutting on April 4th. If you haven’t checked out the huge selection of bikes, exercise equipment and Lyrix wireless services, make it a point to stop by Connecticut Yankee Pedaller and see what Dave has done with the old Ritz Theatre building. And if your Chamber member business is moving into a new facility, adding on or remodeling an existing facility, or changing ownership, we’d be happy to come and help you celebrate as well. Just give Evelyn a call at the Chamber office.
This is the website for this theater. “House of Little Rabbits” loses something in the translation, if you’ve never heard of a Playboy Bunny. http://www.severianoribeiro.com.br/
I bought this photo at a bookstore last weekend. There’s no source or date, but it looks like the next building down has the number 525, so I have a hunch this is our place: http://tinyurl.com/3t5qpd
That’s the one. Thanks.
Joe, your link moved again. Do you have the call number somewhere?

This post-fire photo from 1912 shows the intent to rebuild the Rosemary, which they did of course:

Here is a 1988 photo from the LAPL. This was a Disney parade of some kind:

The theater is also used for special events such as this one:

Before it disappears for good, I saved it here. Thanks for finding the photo, Nick.

This is closed, isn’t it? I don’t see any indication that they ever re-opened.
Not so good, Joe. You’re supposed to get letter grades. When they start giving you numbers, no matter what the score, you’ve got some work to do.

The pet store moved last year. Unknown as to what’s at the location now.

Do I have to buy the shoes if I go to the movie?
I guess she didn’t actually paint it. Her gallery is selling the painting.
