No,No, no, it’s staying Mike Rogers. You know iam so glad Robin took to CT. i had only one other theatre person here get on CT.and that was Russell Smeak. all the others said “HELL,yeah we are getting on!” so far from Augusta,unless someone is using a made up name,is Robin,Russell and Me.
We never had any neon that I can remember at the Imperial. Accidents happen. I was changing the Marquee on the road at National Hills when i moved the adjustable metal ladder, the thing came apart and i am stuck on top of the road marquee until help comes feeling like a dang idiot!

I guess for security reasons? maybe i should cange my name to nationalhills 1233 or something crazy like that. i will address you as TLSLOEWS.
Iam going to experience That saturday night at Robin’s NATIONAL HILLS THEATRE REUNION. I will down a cold one in your Honor and anyone else who has changed a marquee in a cold rain. When i saw National Hills close i wrote a Letter to the Editor and it was published,so i got to thinking especially after our 1985-86 reunions i had bunch of great stories on tape and just started forming a book. I hope you will get on done on dics or paper, TLSLOEWS!!
It looks like TISLOEWS! Why didn’t you say something three months ago, The book was done over 10 years ago. I hope Robin can add some more History. I am not sure if Robin was ever a “candy Girl” she was inManagement when i knew her. I had been out of the business,so I am sure,but i bet Robin will let you know,but most likely she started as a concessionstand girl,much as i did as a Doorman.
Tisloews, Have you ever thought about printing a book on your theatre days in Nashville? I did most of it on a computer and printed sheet after sheet of stories. Got a nice binder from Office Max and it really looks good. I need to work up one on COLUMBIA 1 and 2,since Bill Barkley made one on the IMPERIAL,that would cover the history of all the ABC/Plitt Theatres.
Bill got those pictures from somewhere in National Hills Theatre. I hope you can post them on NATIONAL HILLs and the Columbia 1and 2 on Columbia Square Cinemas Site,Tiisloews from Nashville has been wanting to see my Theatres,now.with your great help they can be seen.
I just know LOEWS as too big of a bigshot outfit to have to lower themselves to booking “THE MAGIC CHRISTIAN” or “TOMMY” on late shows. I bet you guys never played a late show. didn’t want beer vomit on your carpets.LOL!
Yeah, Will you are probably right,but we did it late after the last feature, sipping a few cold ones,and we did place it in a trailer that most likely was trashed after National Screen service got it back.,

We sent Mr.Biggs an invite to our 1985 reunion,but got no response. I just sent her picture from COULMBIA SQUARE 1 and 2 THEATRES.Okay TISLOEWS!!!!!!

Yeah, they really need to just think about everything and get it on paper. I would love to add your stories to a book i wrote about NATIONAL HILLS THEATRE. If they,and you could type up stories I don’t have i would love to add it to my book. I know Bill made up one from the IMPERIAL.
Geez,we never had name tags when i was at Plitt or General Cinema. I got enough of “MR.ROGERS” at GCC. Wish Fred Rogers of the Neighorhood would have went by something else. I can take a toast for the gang. I told you this CT was habit forming .You stay on it for awhile and you will meet some great old theatre people like i have.
You are going to have together with “THE GIRLS” and start putting Stories down. You see what i was able to with our three theatres. I expect it from you guys..

I saw first hand platters come in and trained MEN losing their jobs to teenagers.

iam pretty good at Trivia from 60’s to 70’s. I guess ookay with older movies, Bill is real good because he watched so many movies from the booth.

As stated above in 1956 it held 300 cars and was owned by Rubin Frels. ELCAMPO was home to the EAGLE DRIVE-in too.
