Why the heck was this great movie palace torn down?? It was on the lot next to the former FIRST NATIONAL BANK building on Church Street. The lot is just a “green lawn” with nothing on it to this day!

I just remembered – I saw PINK FLAMINGOS at the LINCOLN THEATER, that is the small theater near Yale. (I should have known when I saw the 710 seating!! The LINCOLN is a much smaller theater, (probably under 300)

Cute little historic theater near Yale University. I saw many “art” films there including John Waters' PINK FLAMINGOS…

Is this the small theater that was near Yale University? It showed John Waters' PINK FLAMINGOS and other “art” films.
I did see BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS, but it was at the Paramount on Temple Street or the Roger Sherman on College Street…

This building in a NATIONAL TREASURE, there are a few movie palaces
left in America, today most cities realize the value of these historic places and are restoring them (most recent the beautiful LOWES KINGS in Brooklyn) However, no place else in this country is there such a treasure as in Bridgeport Ct. TWO spectacular movie palaces sit and wait, for decades for rebirth, no place else is there such a building in America, let us form the groups, collect the donations, and get to work restoring this amazing treasure! Easy to reach from I-95 and from rail service, this building has it all!
