Bobc007…I do not think Mark Lipsky took that into account when he wrote his blog piece. People never follow the money trail from the time the movie hits the screen to the time it airs on network tv and all points in between..all made to generate income. Take away one of those points, and the studio loses money. As we know the studios never want to lose a buck.

I think you need to look at who was holding office before Reagan. Reagan did cut taxes and the economy did take off. Remember RICH people invest…which creates jobs..YOU can’t deny that. Why worry about someone getting rich?
I would like to know what the unemployement was back when Reagan was president verus today…today tight regulations has strangled growth. Here is something to think about. Are we a freer society today? or when Reagan was in office?

The theater opened in 1970 by the late J Kenneth Ridenour. Ridenour operated the theater from 1970 to 1989.

The R stands for Recher. I contacted RC Theatres using their website…It was like pulling teeth to get an answer out of them.

I thought the Lycoming Mall UA was a 5 screener. Given some thought, it was a 4 screener.
CWalczak…Your correct. That part of the mall is now a Dicks Sporting goods store.
United Artist used to have a “UA The Movies….” at the Lycoming Valley Mall. A 5 screen if I remember.
