I have my Original test from when i got my licence in Mass it costed me 40.00 and renewal was 50.00 it was a long card with a thumb print and SS# Mike Dukakis was Gov then he came to my opening night show in Norwood Mass late 80’s Three men and a baby and Good Morning Vietnam i had repainted the Theatre Red and Blue and by surprise he presented me with a flag that flew over the capitol in Boston
i own a q marker and splicer Aw single reels i remember spending Min’s before a show start in the booth putting the first reel on then i converted to full reels holding 3 single and then i moved to platters wow! no more need for projectionist so i became theatre manager operator
ihave a colletion of these red marquee letters if your still looking drop me a line as for inventory i dont know i have approx 100 if ya interested ill lok at them
Well i have one made of silk gold, blue lettering, white back ground with tassels on the bottom and says
Air Conditioned comfort all welcome its about 10' long and 12" wide it was in two parts i have the first one the other was destroyed in hurricane Charley i have a picture ill have to post all my pictues on a site for all to see!
When i thin of the house colors i always think of location location and my surroundsing first and formost i use the local scheme like patriotc colors red and blue go well with the front wall flat black and white or silver screen shoot me a line if ya have any more questions
Yes it s poossible but not profitable esp with first runs unless you have pricy merchandise or beer & wine Food somthing to drive ya money in some first runs per week can cost as lil as 12,000
well it was wrong the theatre was located on the upper floor there two sets of stairs leading up that are still there wide granite stairs the inside was spectacular from what i have heard ,large ceiling with chandeliers. box office was on ground floor main entrance, concession at the head of the stair and then the stair leading in to the orchestra and opening night the tickets were set at a low .05cents til the late 1920 at which point you could get your self a drink and popcorn for .20 costing around .25 per person which then was a lot of money for most of the Jewelry city population

OOOOOOOOO i have been to River side park i remember buying Ice Creme at the drive -in yeah time goes on and on
