I got it covered. I couldn’t figure out which one it was as there is no 770 anymore. This one is 766. I remember the State being further west, but I could be wrong. http://tinyurl.com/4wf7mg
The last free film I saw was “Casablanca”. The Gordon Biersch restaurant in Pasadena used to show classics on a brick wall in the summertime. I guess the expectation was that you would eat at their restaurant after the movie.

A bank and its parking lot now take up the entire west side of Garey between 200 and 300 South.
I went in the building today. I don’t think it was ever a theater. Here is an exterior photo:

The building has been sold to a new church. They are using the theater for services as well as live performances. In fact, the invited me to a performance tonight. I took some interior photos, but as always my flash let me down. I think the function should be church/live performances:

CNN is reporting that Charlton Heston has passed away at the age of 84.
The last address on the 100 block is 132, then there is a vacant lot on the corner. I think the vacant lot was the California. A few doors south, there is another vacant lot which was probably the Park.

The building is now an antique store. I went inside, and it was a decent sized space. There is a new multiplex about a block away.
