Theatres today are in a lot of trouble.Folks my age for the most part remember movie going as an event,today,much like a trip to the BUS Stop in Augusta.The younger folks that 14 to 24 bracket that was hot even in my theatre days does not have the kind of money they want at the Box Office,along with lousy films,who really cares,When I got out in 1983 I saw the writing on the Wall.

It was never booked in Augusta,Ga. first run.Police chief said at the time he would close the THEATRE. No kidding. IMPERIAL THEATRE an ABC THEATRE.

IN easy walking Distance of the huge SKYVIEW DRIVE-in.
I have one of the Marquee not long before it closed,have to dig it up.
And Carmike will close them soon after,seems that is all they do.
