lol, Mike, not really. My main interest in this site was to check on the progress of Rockaway getting digital 3D. Now that it’s a reality, I just do it for fun. I’m retired and have a lot of time on my hands. I’ll let others speak for themselves.

Don’t know much about the dining stuff, Justin. I never visit the concession stand when I go. I go to morning shows followed by lunch at the mall. What time of day do you plan on seeing Toy Story 3? Might be fun to finally put a face on the famous Justin Fencsak.

Looks like Shrek will still be number 1 again at the box office for the third straight weekend this summer, edging Tony Stark as the top draw for moviegoers this summer. One reason is that it’s in 3-D as well as Imax, the other is that the other new movies looks like crap. This coming weekend looks just as bad, with two movies remakes of popular 80’s pop culture, the A-Team, and The Karate Kid, both none of which will match the bigness that is Toy Story 3. Another original movie to look forward to is Inception. I don’t care for the third Twilight movie even though I’ve seen the first two. JJD, any word on if Rockaway might get the same dining stuff as Bridgewater?

AMC has a AM cinema program movies for $6.00 on weekends before 12 noon . Justin What you know about this $5.00 plan

When Toy Story 3 comes out, AMC will introduce the $5 movie plan, which goes into effect at all AMC theatres including this one and those that were acquired from Kerasotes. Maybe this thing will bring people back to the movies this summer.

Shrek Forever After will have its last legs in 3D for the next two weekends before Buzz Lightyear and Woody take over the two RealD 3D screens, the Liemax, and a 35mm screens or two. I can’t wait for this movie!!! I saw the first one at the Allwood before Clearview took over in 35mm Dolby Stereo, and the second one at Clifton Commons in 35mm Dolby EX.

Has anyone who works at this theater seen Shrek Forever After in both 3D formats? Which one is the best? My dad saw it in Mansfield in 3D with relatives and enjoyed the film better than the last one. Is the 3D good?

So far, this weekend is not doing any good at this theater. Shrek will still be number 1 for the box office even though it will make less money than last weekend due to competition from SATC2 and Prince of Persia and a slowing box office. Not too many good movies out there. Hopefully that will change next month when several original movies and sequels come, along with the usual suspects. Did you read this article on the site? http://cinematreasures.org/news/23811_0_1_0_M/
John Fink made a comment about how AMC oversees all prices not for concessions, but for ticket prices as well on the digital screens.

My mistake. I found that out on Movietickets.com. AMC is doing a good job lowering prices for 3D movies recently.

U got it wrong. $10 for RealD 3D and $12 for IMAX 3D.

BTW, do my eyes deceive me or are the pre-Noon 3D prices back to $9 for RealD (vs. $10) and %10 for lieMAX (vs. $12)? Mistake? or price adjustment?

He’s been busy commenting on other AMC theaters that are set to go digital next month.

I’m still here, Justin. Nice to know you’re thinking of me. I just haven’t had much to say lately. I do check the site when I get the email alert. Regarding the swings in shares of these companies every time a particular movie succeeds or “doesn’t meet expectations”, that’s going to happen. It’s part of the overall nuttiness of the stock market. Traders are influenced by sneezes, coughs, burps, hiccups and other disgusting bodily sounds by the minute. The Shrek franchise was probably just running out of steam anyway. There will be those who will inevitably find some way to blame 3D because of the higher ticket prices…until the next moneymaking blockbuster (Toy Story 3?) proves them wrong. And now, where’s SlimShady these days?

Checking advance showtimes for this theater, AMC is showing what they’re calling “The Twilight Experience” in Digital. I think it’s a Twilight marathon of the three Twilight movies and in between them there’s interviews and stuff. Thankfully AMC didn’t charge $20 for the liemax and 3-D at this theater since it was only a Manhattan thing and that was an error by AMC’s pricing department. I haven’t heard much from you JJD, what’s going on with you?

shares of dreamworks animation, imax, and other related companies that participated in the making of Shrek Forever After sank after the poor results from the movie. The box office in May of this year is down nearly 2% from last year not only from weaker films, but by higher prices for 3D films. When I went to the AMC in Rockaway on Saturday, it wasn’t as packed as it was when Avatar came to town. The next movie I want to see will be Toy Story 3 3-D, which is getting better reviews than Shrek 4. This is due in part to pre-screening in which Disney showed the movie except the ending, teasing the audience for what will come next on June 18.

seems that the garden state 16 and jersey gardens are getting all digital in may, slimshady, what about this theater?

Good news…Seattle’s Best, a brand that’s owned by Starbucks, is coming to to this and other AMC theaters by July. What that means is that coffee lovers will drink coffee to go along with their popcorn. One reason why AMC has an advantage over smaller Clearview.

Looks like “Shrek 4” will be playing on those two RealD 3D screens this coming weekend, so I might have to check Iron Man 2 in digital for the last time this week before Friday rather than liemax. Same for Shrek 4 because I’ve seen all three Shrek movies in theaters. Has attendance declined at the imax since bad word of mouth spread about the size of the theater and the rip-off price compared to a real imax theater? I can’t wait to go to the Movie Experience’s real IMAX theater at the Meadowlands shopping area (FKA Xanadu), slated to open in 2011, which would be the closest real IMAX theater.
