Melrose Biloxi Partners LLC is listed at this address now. They must have bought the complex from Scene Three, who had bought it E.B. Raskin Company,Scene Three used to shoot videos in the theatre. I still have not been able to see how much of the theatre is still there, although from the outside everything looks the same.

Thanks Mike,we had a little rack on the back of the concessions counter which held the cigs, the were inventoried just like the candy and cups,we did not sell smokes at the Loews Melrose and Madison, the downtown houses always more of the bad stuff.Lorilard made Kent cigerettes, and Newports, plus we also sold Marlboro product and others.Cough,Cough!!!!!

In my theatre days we hardly gave refunds or were even asked for them, the ticket price just bought you a seat, we could not know if you would like the film or not, if that was the case you could watch the whole movie and said you did not like it and get your money back, same as a concert or play or any other event. The persons picked to see the film.

TLSLOEWS commented about Demolition of the Historic Adelphi Theater on Jan 8, 2011 at 8:29 pm

I know this post is late, but I remember driving by one of the theatres I worked in in the late 70,s and it was being torn down to be replaced with a one level parking lot till later is was replaced by an 31 story high-rise,but the vertical sign was still on the building, what a sad day.RIP Adelphi Theatre.
