The problem withth is theater like any of the theaters in the Floyd theater chain is the screens are not wide enough to show movies in scope so the pictures goes off the screen and into the bushes. A waster of my money if I can’t see a film in scope the way it was meant to be seen.
Great looking theater. It looks very much like an old time theater. Great show last night. Even though it is much smaller than Radio City, it was great for the Tony awards.
There is no way this theater closed in the 1970’s. I grew up in Clifton Heights and it was not there even in the early 60s'. It is interesting to see the theater.
I am glad at least comments are back. I didn’t realize how much I would miss CT until I couldn’t read any posts. I am so greateful to you guys for starting this web site. It is just a wonderful place to go ever day. As frustrating as it is for you guys trying ot get the new site up and running, know we arer devoted to theis web site and will support you guys no matter how long it takes.
Beaucathcer screens are great they are all really large. The ones at Caolina cinemas are ok except they are typical flat screens. They would work if they could have masking that came down, but the manager said the theaters are not wide enough and masking coming down would not solve the scope problem.
In was in the shopping center that is now a Ingles supermarket. I asked around and it was in the right corner of the parking lot behind a small little area with 3 shops.
When I go on a Saturday it is usally fairly crowded. In late 2009 they installed digital projection in 2 of the theaters. The big issue with Biltmore Grande is the sound is so loud that it ruins the movie. I went there 3 times when it first opened and have never gone back. As part of atni turssyt laws Regal had to give up operation of Hollywood. It was taken over and remoled really nice by Caolina cinemas a NC chain. Theonly issue is only 1 of the 13 theaters are capable of showing filmsin scope. The other theaters have the picture off to the side of the screen when a film is in scope. I spoke to a manage a few motnhs ago and he said they were getting all digital projectors by June and this mioght correct the scope problem. Iavoid this theater too.
I would think they are in violation of some anti trust law. I think that whoever approves meregers knew how many theater they would close they might have reconsdiered AMC purchasing the Kerasptes chain.

When Ilivedin Lauderdale it was a discount house.
I think if you look back, this tyheater had only 5 screens not 6.
Does the sign still say United Artists, or have they changed it to Regal?

To my knowledge there isn’t a large Indian population in India. Hey any kind of film that keeps a theater open is great.
I have a question. What was Vista vision? Was that another name used instead of cinemascope?
It look slike the seats from tyhe Cineeplex Odeon that was in Tampa, The Hillsborough 8
What killed thsi theater is Regal opened a 20 screen stadium theater right across the street.
Great news that this tehater is reopening. When it originally opened it was a very class A theater
I think it is great news. Ilived in that area from 83 until 93 and there were so many theaters that closed.
Great looking theater. Did they loose the marquee in the collapse?
Was this a former SamEric theater?
I was in Raleigh this past weekend and even though I didn’t go to the theater I have to sayt it is really very nice looking from the outside.
I thought they were releasing the 50th anniversary film in 70mm
Any update on what is in place of this theater now since the church closed
Saw Funny Lady here in 1976
