This theater is also very similar to the Pantages in Minneapolis, which was recently restored. Priteca used the same model for most of his theaters; only slightly altering the interior decorations between locations.

The architect of the Utah Theatre was B. Marcus Priteca. In many ways the auditorium is a sister to the Pantages/Warner Downtown Theatre at 401 W. 7th Street (7th & Hillstreet) in Downtown Los Angeles. One of the only differences is the side boxes near the organ grills. Th Utah Theatre is located at 148 S. Main Street and it seated 1759 people when it was a single screen theatre.
