Saw john wick 3 in one of the smaller screens with improper masking. Sound was great and picture was soft yet a bit sharp. Audience was behaved well. I plan on seeing brightburn tomorrow. Bathrooms need to be cleaned up more often than the screens.
Saw endgame in theatre 1 it was awesome. Someone gave me a free popcorn a moviegoer who happened to celebrate his birthday today. Sat all the way in the back and the bathrooms were clean. Next thing u know recliners will come.
Food ordering via the AMC app is now available at this theater so that I can avoid the lines and pick it up when its ready.
Late friday night the theater lost power and many die hards went home with a free pass so that they can come again next time. This is one of many locations that AMC selected to show Avengers 24/7 this weekend as this movie is doing great business. As with most Disney marvel movies these days, the audio mixes have been subpar compared to other studios. Same goes for other Disney movies too.
Looks like endgame is selling like hotcakes especially in regular, dolby, and imax with 3d not selling well. This movie will have legs based on great word of mouth after the world premiere last night in LA.I think I’ll wait a bit until the crowd dies down to see this long movie.
Went to see curse of la llorna in the Dolby theater and noticed that scope ratio cropped the preshow so I complained to AMC about it and they let the management know. The left channel was one during preshow but the surround and picture kicked in when the movie started. Movie was jump scary good. I sat near f10. Picture was good and sound was awesome.
Next month reserved seating will be in all screens soon..
Plenty of showtimes for Endgame still available including those that start at 7 AM!!! It’s kinda crazy for a huge movie that will break records at the box office so better get those tickets before they sell out!!!
Saw the movie in a very full crowd. Picture was ok. Audio was amazing. This movie wont last much long. I like that there’s a unisex bathroom on each side in addition to the men and women’s restrooms.
Saw Shazam in 3d in theater #1. 3D was really good and they only showed one 3d preview for the Secret Life of Pets 2. Sound mix was great and the picture was properly framed. Tomorrow I will see Pet Semetary in theater #12 instead of Dolby because it’s early.
This weekend Shazam is playing in regular 3d and imax while Pet semetary is being shown in dolby and regular as it is advertised that way for national release. I plan on seeing Shazam in regular and then Pet Semetary in Dolby now that AMC’s app is working after the Endgame tickets went on sale and crashed their servers. Since the movie’s 3 hours long, I’ll go for the Dolby since i can recline while watching it.
Saw us in Dolby cinema and it was scary good. Dolby projection was very soft but colors flew and the sound was great. The seats vibrate and decline and they heat up during the action. I’m surprised that there’s no video on the walls entering the theater. The preshow looked good. I sat in seat h10.
Minor masking issues at the theater while seeing fighting with my family. Picture is very dark audio is good. Theater number 5. Small seats.
Saw the movie how to train your Dragon 3 in theater #15 and the picture was dim but the framing was correct and the audio well balanced. Kids were behaved and the food was good. Great movie too.
Definitely the latter.
This weekend Apollo 11, which uses newly discovered 70mm footage of the launch of the rocket, is playing at the liemax for one week only before Captain Marvel arrives in that format along with Dolby and regular and 3d. I wonder how Dolby 3d would compare to Imax and Reald 3d as it might be much sharper and brighter and pricier.
Saw alita in 2d regular 4k in theater #10. Minor issues during the preshow but the movie was worth seeing despite feeling the rumbles from the Dolby next door. Projection was amazing and the picture was framed properly. Image was very bright and the sound mix was outstanding. 3d imax and Dolby would’ve been more pricey if I saw it again in those formats.
Yup. That way people can play games on mute and hide them once the movie begins. BTW, there was a minor masking issue near the top of the widescreen when i saw glass and some windowboxing when i saw the preshow before the film. Audio was good and the crowd stayed through the whole film. One of the seats squeaked like a mouse. I haven’t seen any mice yet i’ve seen fireflies in the auditorium that are attracted to the light of the projector. This theater is near 13 years old and is in need of repair in the near future.
Just what you need in a movie theater, free WiFi.
Imax is bigger than Dolby. Never been to Dolby. This theater now has free WiFi for stubs members.
anyone know the size of the imax here and how it compares? I know paramus I think is the largest, just curious about this sized one.
This weekend the American remake of Miss Bala is in Dolby, with Free Solo getting IMAX. Black Panther is back and you can go to a special website to order tickets for free. Lego Movie 2 will come to Dolby and Imax next weekend.
Saw Spider-Man in theater number 1. No masking at all when the feature began. Pre show was 10 minutes shorter than usual since it’s a kids movie and then 20 minutes of trailers. Picture and sound were good. People with seizures should be advised not to see this film as it has scenes in which colors and lights flash.
Saw Ralph breaks the internet in theater #10 right next to the Dolby showing a star is born again . Presentation was good although the projector flickered a bit. Audio was subpar as it was for Disney movies. Kids behaved ok.
This theater could be the next in line to get reserved seating for regular showings soon…
