Yea…a half page ad might not fit in my scanner. Kinkos or someplace with a copy machine could probably shrink it…then I could scan and post it.

I found a half page Grand opening on Columbia 1 and 2 from the Chroncile, but i don’t think it would fit the screen. It had NationalHills and the Imperial on it.

It’s hard to believe we had nothing running in COLUMBIA 2 until “A STAR IS BORN” opened. I would say the longest run on a movie well over 2 months, for COLUMBIA 2.

Don’t worry about the credit I am just so glad to see it on.Another suggestion which I am FULL OF,would scan the front of the NATIONAL HILLS booklet i made. It has pictures of employees and some of the movies that played there. Also if you can put the Modjeska and Regency box office on. I know i am being quite pushy, but Ilove seeing these on. Also put some of the shots you took during ANNIE. Folks love seeing those pictures. I sent a few to Nick hoping he would put some on. Give you a break. And he said he would, but he does have alot to do in Tampa.

Robin, do the best you can> i don’t want you to go crazy. will the movie ad work on CT about opening night.I wish I would have taken more pictures of my theatres like you did. I even had a Super 8 movie camera I wish like heck I would have shot a couple of hundred feet of film from those days.It would be Silent, but I could have added music, but Alas,I didn’t Film.

I’m still working on getting a better picture of Columbia 1 & 2 up. The one I posted is not that good, but I can’t get any of the others you sent to look any better. Just wanted to let you know I haven’t forgotten…just not happy with another one yet!

I got looking at the picture and noticed it was taken at Christmas . “PETE’S DRAGON” promo is above the starting times. An ad for “HEROES” is taped on the window with Christmas decorations in the Box Office, white floating angels and green garland taped above. I had come down to take a picture of “THE Gauntlet” on the marquee that i was proud of, being the number one Clint Eastwood fan in Georgia.

That is Karen Harpe in the box office with doorman Chuck Spearman or Tom Weidmeire,I can’t make it out. “AND JUST WHAT WAS A DOORMAN DOING IN THE BOXOFFICE!” Robin, I want to thank you so much for taking the time to get our theatres on.I would put them up against any theatre in any size town from NEW YORK CITY to Dogpatch, ARK.
Thanks again. You found out just like I did that all your so called theatre buddies aren’t really into movie theatres.

Robin,Cathy might outta do like Nick does see DALE MARBY Drive-in,He sat down and just wrote a great story about his theatre days. She could do that one time and not have to keep putting stories on all the time like the rest of us do. You ouuta put that Picture of DIANE on the marquee on CT,You don’t know how many times I was going to do the same thing Like: CLINT EASTWOOD and MIKE ROGERS in THE ENFORCER. I was just too Dang lazy to do it. Wish I would have done it so much now.

I know Cathy has…she told me last week she was ready to write, but she was busy at work. I was hoping she would write something over the weekend. Now she is not answering my texts!

I just texted them AGAIN!!! I have asked, whined, threatened — even told Cathy she could tell whatever stories she wanted to — and she’s got some good ones:) I don’t know what it’s going to take.
