Yes thats great The other side of the marquee had the painting of the album cover! That was a great theatre to see films in! Such a large screen and great sound! Cannot find that today even here in NYC!
Another ROADSHOW that has not been mentioned is “HAWAII” with Jule Andrews and Max Von Sydow! An absolutely beautiful film! How I would love to see it again on the big screen with Intermission and Entr'Act!

Just got in from the 1 pm screeening of “My Fair Lady”. There was about 30 people attending. The print was awful scratchy, faded, and discolored. Itr also seemed out of sinc at times. The stereo sound was non existant. I remember it 42 years ago as such a wide SUPER PANAVISION 70 fim. The sould and picture then was breathtaking! Oh the good old days!
If Clearview is going to do this, why not do it right? I have attended many of their CHELSEA CLASSIC SERIES and the prints are bad and sloppily shown too!
Attended a screening of a film at this theatre yesterday! Quite an experience! There was alot of scratching on the walls, I asked the usher and was told not to worry it was not rats , just squrills in the walls! There were 3 people present at thye show! Also the seats are the mosrt uncomfortable in the city! No wonder people stay home and for 10.50! Also 25 MINUTES of ads and previews!
The HAREM was a crackhouse in its last days! A Transexual named “TABU” would sit in the front row and sell crack to the patrons! Poor TABU is now dead! A victim of AIDS!
