@JodarMovieFan – I’m just talking about the email addresses that we use to run this website. We have no plans at this time to provide users with a Cinema Treasures email account.

I’d guess that January and February are the slowest. During the coldest times of the year, people tend to stay home.

Alright, the .com and .net domains are working for me. They may already work for some of you, as well. (It just depends on how fast your ISP updates their DNS tables.)

The .com and .net domains should be fixed within 24 hours. Until the redirection kicks in, they’ll appear to be parked.

I’ve switched the name back to “National Westwood Theatre”. This seems to be the name that’s currently being used by MovieTickets.com, LA Weekly, CitySearch, Yahoo, etc.

@Bway — thanks!

@EdSolero — we didn’t change anything with notifications. But if something is wrong, we don’t have much ability to fix. (Really, you should be able to “watch” a theater without making a comment… I’d love to add that feature.)

@RonNewman — should get that fixed today! (You know to use .ORG, right?)

I’m still working on getting our email working, so please hold off on your emails.

Which links do you mean, longislandmovies?

(Our cinema treasures email accounts should be working soon, btw. Probably today or tomorrow.)

It’s not fully switched over yet, but it does seem to work if you drop the “www” prefix.

Thanks for your comments, guys.

Just to be clear… we won’t be doing photos just yet. But the new server is a big step towards making that possible.

Let’s stay on topic, guys.

mikemovies — I’ve had to warn you several times in other threads. I don’t want to see another comment from you about Warren.

They’re off-topic… and starting yet another flame is a good way to get yourself banned.

Yes, most changes have a matching comment, but that’s not always the case.

Some changes, like those above, will be made without a comment. Comments are largely for users to provide new information, not a way for editors to log every single change they make to an entry.

Ultimately, we do need a separate “revision history” page so it’s easier to see changes (or potentially undo them).

But if you just want to post comments for now, I understand.

Let’s look at what changed here, Lost.

The original dates you added were edited to be more accurate, and the word “Dulux” was added to the phrase “used as decorator center”.

This additional information is useful, yet preserves your original submission. I respect your opinion, but this is a pretty reasonable change.

The description doesn’t belong to a single user, Lost Memory.

Not you. Not me. Not theater managers. When you submit a theater, that’s just the starting point… other people will contribute over time, making for a more accurate entry.

But, just to be clear, we reserve the right to edit all submissions, for any reason, at any time. That’s how Cinema Treasures has always worked.

Knock it off, Warren and pmullins. This isn’t the place for this sort of discussion.

Let’s please try to stay focused on the purpose of this website.

Thanks,
