This theatre is an elaborate gem. The ceiling and details on walls and stage and proscenium are incredible. The way going to the movies once was. Not the multiplex office building style of architecture today. May this gem live a long life still.
Elaborate and detailed exterior. Windows are beautiful. Roof line is lovely too. The horror film showing at this time was exceptional too. One of the best ever.
Hope they brought back the palm trees in the courtyard of this great theatre. I heard the interior was updated and refreshed. Anyway to save an iconic historic place like this. Of course it needs to make money.
One of the best and largest marques anywhere. A handsome post art deco/art moderne masterpiece with a NW Indian theme. Should have been restored and used for concert and stage theatre.
Looks like a dimension 150 screen theatre which is one of the biggest usually. Like the late great UA 150 in Seattle from the 1970’s. Unfortunately no longer with us. A beautiful dome style building.
I once saw The Music Man, The Bounty, and many Doris Day-Rock Hudson films here. A small theatre and sort of art deco if I remember right. On the fanciest avenue in Seattle. 5th. Also had the biggest screen which was curved I think. Was the first sound theatre in town I believe. Vitaphone in the last of the 20’s. To bad this place was replaced by a big highrise of course.
This old proscenium and elaborate trim was so much nicer than it looks like the present look is. This is what happens so much in remodels. People ruin the superior original design for no reason at all.
The basic structure and bones of this interior is very elaborate and lovely. Looks like much water damage to the plaster and a butchered proscenium. Are those organ grills on each side of the stage? I think so. Could have been restored to show high class entertainment.

Beautiful original proscenium and wall detail. Like statues on each side. At one time a unique and elaborate decor.

Looks like the average multiplex of today with an added drape and valance. No cinemascope either.

Any interior pics of the Pix in it’s heyday? Nice theatre moderne exterior.
Handsome and fanciful exterior.
What a elaborate and beautiful theatre. Ceiling is wonderful.
Too bad it is closed now. Great sign and marquee. Any interior pics?
Nice marquee. Any interior pics?
Now that is a wide wide screen behind that nice curtain. Ceiling and wall detail is beautiful too.
Any vintage pics of this theatre inside?
Hope they saved this handsome wall sculpture. Must have been a beautiful theatre.

Ornate or what? Ceiling is amazing. Proscenium too.
Beautiful box office and windows and roofline. Classic. Any interior pics?

Elegant proscenium and ceiling/wall detail. Should still be a showplace in this town.
Elaborate and beautiful theatre that will entertain for many years to come.

Handsome art deco theatre. All impressive and a class act.
Any original images of this once beautiful theatre. Still some interesting details left in this pic. Sad to do this to an historic building.
