There are 2 movie theaters listed under Northampton in the 1927 Film Daily Yearbook. One is the Academy and the other is the “Coolidge” with 1000 seats and open daily. I guess that the Coolidge is actually the Calvin.

As the Academy, this theater is listed in the 1927 Film Daily Yearbook as having 1000 seats and open 6 days per week.

OK, the older Fox Theatre in Springfield mentioned in the postings of Sept 28 2007 and just above is listed here in Cinema Treasurew as the Art Theatre, CT #3721.

There was apparently an earlier Fox Theatre somewhere in Springfield. The 1927 Film Daily Yearbook lists “Fox’s” with 1300 seats, open daily.

Of the 9 movie theaters listed under Holyoke in the 1927 FDY, I found all but 2 here in CT. Those 2 are the Royal with 385 seats, open daily; and the Three Star, 350 seats, open daily.

The Rialto is listed in the 1927 Film Daily Yearbook as having 750 seats. They have 5 movie theaters listed for Everett: the Capitol, the Modern, the Broadway (850 seats), the Rialto, and the Strand (800) seats. I don’t know how acccurate the list is.

There is a Strand Theatre listed for Everett in the 1927 Film Daily Yearbook with 800 seats. From info posted above, the Strand was an earlier name for the Park.
